Understanding Gold Colors: Rose, White, and Yellow
Pure gold is yellow. To create different colors, it is mixed with other metals. White gold is created by adding palladium or nickel and often plated with rhodium.
Rose gold gets its pinkish hue from copper. The karat (e.g., 18K) determines the pure gold content, regardless of color. 18K white gold has the same gold value as 18K yellow gold, though the other allows might slightly affect the price.
